Caribbean Actuarial Scholarship


The Caribbean Actuarial Scholarship is intended to be an annual award to University of the West Indies (UWI) actuarial student(s) who demonstrate a strong record of accomplishment, leadership qualities and commitment to becoming an actuary.

The Scholarship award(s) will cover educational expenses. The Foundation awards this scholarship in the following levels:

$1,500 – student entering second year of studies; and
$2,500 – student entering third year of studies.

 

2012-2013 Application and Guidelines

The Actuarial Foundation is accepting applications for the 2012-2013 Caribbean Actuarial Scholarship. For full information and to apply, download the guidelines and application or complete the online application.

All application materials must be received by July 13, 2012.

History of the Caribbean Actuarial Scholarship

The Caribbean Actuarial Scholarship was established in 2008 in memory of Basil L. and Monica G. Virtue by their son-in-law, S. Michael McLaughlin, FSA, MAAA, an actuary who graduated from UWI.
