John Hanson Memorial Prize
Award Information & Submission FormThe intent of this prize is to award recognition for the best paper on an employee benefits topic. This award was established in honor of John Hanson, a long time treasurer of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. Mr. Hanson’s papers on pension funding and accounting set the standard for this important topic. EligibilityNominated papers are open and not limited to U.S. actuaries. Self-nominations are also encouraged. Papers will be judged on appropriateness of subject material, timeliness of topic, originality, and practical application to employee benefits. Selection ProcessWinning paper(s) are selected by the Papers Committee of the Conference. Winner will be contacted by The Actuarial Foundation in the summer. Awarding will be based on the eligibility and quality of nominations received each year. There is no guarantee an annual award will be made.
