The Journey House Math Academy Curriculum is a new and critically needed program to assist local youth in being on-grade level in math skills and prepared to enter college. Materials used include: Math enhancement materials donated from the Actuarial Foundation, Lego Robotics, How to Start a Company, Stock Market Games, ACT Preparation Activities, and Career Explorations/Field Trips to related project activities. Mentors are most critical to help develop relationships with participants to meet the variety of their math academic needs and assist in our participants seeing the “bigger picture” and open their minds to greater opportunities that exist beyond the Journey House neighborhood.
